Streaming Server
MONOGRAM Multimedia Streaming Server (MMSS) is an ideal product to deliver high performance streaming and progressive download of multimedia content. Our server covers a wide range of adopted protocols including HTTP, RTP and RTMP providing flexible point-to-point, point-to-multipoint and stream retransmission capabilities.
Overview
MMSS is future ready and supports latest MPEG-4 AVC (H.264) and AAC codecs to deliver amazing high definition experience. Latest high quality codecs assure highest image quality at lower bitrates to satisfy more and more clients.
MMSS can be a part of DVB/IPTV streaming solution by providing MPEG Transport Stream support. It is possible to route MPEG TS transmission to multiple clients either as TCP unicast via HTTP or UDP unicast/multicast mechanisms.
Load balancing is a great way of achieving higher performance and higher availability to users. MMSS supports all of this natively and provides high performance distributed access log processing which means you will have detailed information on the system at any desired time. When multiple balanced nodes share common storage, MMSS can keep track of most frequently used files and cache them locally to reduce network traffic and storage access.
MMSS can optimize network utilization by providing boosting and controlled bandwidth mode file delivery for Flash video files (.flv) in a very efficient way - PHP scripts can never achieve this performance.
When configured in RTSP mode MMSS can deliver both live and offline 3GPP content to 3G mobile devices coded by H.263 video codec and AMR audio codec using the RTP protocol.
MMSS supports modular design and offers interface to cooperate with other MONOGRAM products such as the MONOGRAM Multimedia Archiving Server (MMAS) or MONOGRAM Multimedia Encoding Server (MMES).
